Reaching Children in Africa
In 2019, a movement began in Zimbabwe to use Awana in a public school in Africa to see if it would help the behavior and academic struggles of the children in the school.
It worked!
Now, the national education director in Zimbabwe has approved an Awana club in EVERY school in Zimbabwe, and other countries have adopted similar initiatives.
What began in one school has spread to over 8,000 schools so far reaching 3.5 million kids!

God is giving Awana an opportunity to reach 31 million children in Africa with the gospel!

49 new Awana clubs started in Africa this year!

In the 2024-25 ministry year we raised enough money in the Carolinas to start up 49 new Awana clubs in the public schools of Africa!
This total was 94% of the goal we set! We were so close! Since the start of this Africa Schools Project, 197 schools have been funded solely from gifts from the Carolinas. 2025 Goal: 52 clubs
